We would like to invite your club to take part in the first Royal Air forces Association Easter Egg Run. We expect to have around 2000 bikes on the day, including several celebrities. All money raised will go towards the welfare work we do supporting over 1 million serving an non serving RAF personnel and their dependents. We promise you will have an entertaining day with hospitality provided by RAF Cosford, access to the museum and the chance to visit the Shropshire modellers show. It promises to be a great day out and you will be supporting RAFA as well. I have attached some further information, but if you would like more or wish to do the run from your area please contact me for registration forms.

Get your Easter off to a cracking start

The Wings Easter Egg Run in Aid of the Royal Air Forces Association Wings Appeal.
Sunday 5th April 2009

Would you like to have fun this Easter! Then why not take part in the very first Royal Air forces Association to Cosford Air Museum motorcycle run.
The run will be leaving from various venues including Newtown (Powys-Wales), Birmingham and Leicester with everyone meeting at Shrewsbury FC to be escorted to RAF Cosford. The escorted ride to RAF Cosford will leave at 11.30am from Shrewsbury FC, so make sure you leave plenty of time if you need to register.

Start Venues:
Newtown - Radio Maldwyn, The Park, Newtown, Powys (Registration open 8,30am)

Birmingham - Stratstone Harley-Davidson & Buell, Waterlinks Motor Village, Aston (Registration open 8.30am)

Leicester - TBA (Contact Pete Brocklehurst 0116 2688757)



You will be supporting the Royal Air Forces Association welfare program and service personnel and have a great day out at the same time. Your final destination will be RAF Cosford where RAF personnel will be ready with hot drinks on arrival. You then have free access to the air museum at Cosford and the opportunity to wander around the Shropshire scale Modellers show.

All we ask is a donation of £5.00 per person and an Easter egg for RAF personnel and their families. To take part you will need to register prior to the event or there will be the opportunity to sign up on the day at Shrewsbury Football Club, Birmingham or Leicester. If your club would like to organise their own run into Shrewsbury contact Martin for a registration pack and further information. Entry to RAF Cosford will be by ticket only so you need to register before you arrive at Cosford.

The event has attracted a huge amount of interest right across England and Wales and we are hoping to attract 2000 bikers to RAF Cosford.

just to let every one know it's that time of year again ,its time to pay your membership subs , every member will be given a letter to tell them how much their payment for 2009 will be over the next couple of weeks at the club meetings. Don't forget some members payments will be less than others due to the date they joined the club in the previous year.
